I have always had this dream of creating a place for childhood.
A place where a child’s unique essence, authenticity and gifts could be nurtured and nourished.
A place where children are encouraged and inspired to discover themselves, rise in love with their inner being, follow their passions, enjoy life and childhood.
A place where children and families can connect to nature, build awareness and love of wildlife and sustainability.
A place where families can connect, share experiences, wisdom, support, humor, and love.
A place where we honour diversity, tolerance, exchange the values of love, respect, empathy, and compassion.
A place where we make beautiful memories together and have a good time.
A place where we have fun, learn and inspire each other.
Years ago, I followed a spark in my heart, and I opened a day care in my own home, the Educaring Family Day Care and at the beginning of 2021 I created the A Place for Childhood, which facilitates playgroups and soon workshops and specialised classes for the community.
I absolutely love what I do and I feel so blessed to be able to share this special place with the children and their families.
I look forward to sharing and creating this beautiful space with you and your family.

What will we be engaging during our playgroup:

# Exposure to nature, nurturing interactions and free play;
# Spend most of the times outdoors, connect with natural elements and allow children to be part of the daily changes brought by the cycle of the seasons and to immerse themselves in sensory play;
# Investigating and creating with loose parts and open-ended materials;
# Allow children freedom to explore and develop their curiosity and creativity;
# Eco-craft;
# Sensory play;
# Participating in story time and storytelling circle;
# Campfire popcorn, cinnamon apple slices & bread;
# Sing and act out nursery rhymes, dance, play games, and have so much fun making music.
A PLACE FOR CHILDHOOD PLAYGROUP
Come and join our Nature Inspired Play Sessions for children and families!
Together, we are creating the space, time and opportunity for the children to follow their own play-urges naturally, connect and cultivate a deep appreciation and love of the natural world, make friends, explore and have fun!
We will be spending most of the time outdoors, connecting with natural elements and exploring senses at the Educaring outdoor environment.There will be plenty of opportunity for free play and connection, engage in sensory-rich experiences that inspire, recharge, and nurture our mind and the body.
Each week, play sessions include story time and circles, bread making, a nourishing shared morning tea, eco-craft, gardening, fun games, dance and music making.
Sessions are available for children under 5’s and their grown-ups.
It is happening on Wednesdays & Fridays from 9:30am to 11:30 am.

It is important to ask that if you or your child displays any Flu symptoms at all, that you remain home until the symptoms have passed. It is understandable that children will have runny noses during times of teething etc, but under these unpredictable circumstances, we need to be very cautious and consider as though it is potential covid.
